Will the stock clutch hold????
Alright I'm just finishing a head/cam swap,90/90,LT, and procharger set-up. I want to get it dynoed as soon as I finish it, will the stock clutch hold on the dyno? I plan on runing a good clutch(Not sure what one), I just want to get this thing dynoed. The car should put down between 500-600rwhp, is this clutch going to slip too much? Just bought the car so I don't know how many miles are on it, the guy said there was a clutch installed soon before he bought it.
Thanks

I would say you would be losing a nice percentage of power through that stock clutch man so don't be dissapointed if you don't hit the numbers your looking for because she could be slipping on ya...
I wouldn't take a stock clutch much higher than 400rwhp (and thats if its brand new) and expect it to last for to long depending how your drive it.

On a personal note, I had a stock 39,500 mile LS6 clutch in the car and it has intake, exhaust, no tune. And it slipped bad when it was warm air temps (summer), or I raced it, dead pedal and I couldnt drain the fluid.
In swapped the slave out, and a better clutch, and I havent even really got hard on it, only over 3k rpms but I can already tell the car when the clutch is disengaged bites hard, much harder then stock, so I expect that clutch may gain in HP to the wheel.

well i used to have an LT1 that was a 383 and had a p1 procharger with full bolt ons. Made 515rwhp and close to 600rwtq. Stock clutch held fine. I never launched my car from a dig and didnt take it to the track, only roll raced. But if you have the money and its out, might as well. IF not, dont beat on it like crazy.
