Spec 3+ Problem Please Help !!
I just got a new spec three plus clutch installed in my ta along with a spec billet flywheel . I use to have a regular spec 3 clutch and it felt good but slipped, well with this new clutch the pedal feels soft like a stock one which i like but what i dont like is that when i put the clutch pedal to the all the way to the floor to dis engauge the clutch then i release the and within like a inch of releasing the pedal the clutch is fully enguage it has like a real short point of engaugement. Is this normal other than that problem i like the clutch.

yes when it its new it is very on off. Clutch will break in much better around 500 miles. Pedal feel with be better and engagement towards the middle instead of bottom. Dont worry just break it in right. Blip throttle and move out dont ride out clutch or slip to much.

Did you install the shim? If so, I would recommend the "clutch test" just to see if it is fully disengaging when you have the pedal to the floor. If it's not fully disengaging, you may need an adjustable master cylinder. This will cause high RPM shift issues, premature clutch wear and failure, and possibly transmission problems.

Chances are if the pedal grabs real low off the floor like an inch and the car is hard to put into 1st and reverse then the clutch may not be fully disengaging. I would get an adjustable master or install the shim. You might want to wait until you fully break in the clutch to see if it gets better.

wait awhile. I had issues with my ram dual disc like u too, I know urs is a single. hard to in gauge into any gear and reverse and started to in gauge right off the floor. it also was hard to in gauge on faster than normal shifts. after the 500 mile break in it was just like I wanted.
