I went to the track last night and i was having trouble getting into 4th gear at WOT. It would go in but the car would shake violently when it went in. I bought a used shifter for it and i think the bushing is a bit loose, could the shifter be the cause of this? At any other time the car shifts perfect, its just at WOT. A month ago when i went to the track the same thing happened on 2 of the 5 runs i had. Thanks

 

Do you still have the stock shifter? Swap it back in and see if you still have the problem.

 

Yep have the stock shifter still.... I'll try that out

 

Yeah, it's such an easy swap, there's really no reason to try anything else until you've eliminated that.

 

I have this same exact problem with the pro 5.0. At WOT it grinds bad going into 4th sometimes does not go in at all. If you figured out how to fix it please let me know thanks.

sounds JUST like my problem..;.

i was bored today, ditched the pro 5.0, put in the stocker and WA LA! i can grab 4th now

 

dam the first timei put in my new aluminum hurst shifteri was at wot and tryed 4th and it just felt crazy/ not in switched too the stocker and worked just like normal 2 ... what im getting at is this drill mod moderatly easy ?
