Default Slave is Internal or External???

My Warranty covers internal tranny parts... is the slave considered internal?

That way I can replace it under warranty and not pay for the labor....

oh yeah... they prefer for me to take it to Aamco or a dealer.... which one should I do??

I wanted to go with Masport in Boca Raton... but I don't think they will let me do it there under warranty... if it's internal.

The slave is not inside of the transmission.

Sorry man...you have to pull the transmission to get to it, but it is definitely not an internal tranny part. You'd be better off finding a buddy with a lift that'll help you. It is an easy part to replace after you've done all the labor to get to it...

with a lift and air tools i can have a Slave out and back in in less than an hour. What they will bill you I am not sure. A slave and throwout bearing is 113 from GMpartsdirect. So I would say 200 bucks or so would be the minimal it would take covering parts and actual labor. I would hope your bill isn't like 500 bucks or anything. If not drive it down to Texas and I will fix it for ya.lol
