Default RAM Clutch Lifespan?

I have the 6130 Disc and 402 PP on a stock, machined flywheel. I have about 20K daily-driven miles on the clutch now and over a dozen runs with nitrous at the track with drag radials. I did a street run and noticed that the pedal felt alittle soft like the clutch was slipping. Any input?

The 6130 disk is not to be used with nitrous. RAM will tell you this. I think its even printed on their website. If you plan to spray use the 910 disk. Clutch life is the same as brakes, all depends on your particular driving style and habits. I knew a older couple that had a 1997 T/A with 93,000 miles and had the original clutch. They never beat on the car. Yet, I know people who have wasted a clutch within 5,000 miles.

I didn't find anything on RAM's website that says that. The only thing I found is that they recommend the 900 series for nitrous applications.

Call Mike at Rapid Motorsports. He is a distributor for RAM. RAM will tell you that the 6130 should not be used with N2O. Many of the guys that had the problem of the 6130 disk fusing(melting) to the flywheel were caused by using N2O and the others were improper installation.

I've got 54K miles on my RAM 6130/402/Stock re-surfaced flywheel set-up. Probably a hundred track passes on it, and SEVERAL passes on the street, and it still feels fine to me. Just chatters a lil too much.

Here is a statement on RAM's website:
Three different versions of the VDS are available for LS1 utilizing different disc materials. The 300 series disc is the most streetable, offering a smooth engagement with increased holding power for applications up to around 400 horsepower, higher on street tires only. The 6000 series disc is metallic (shown above) and more aggressive on engagement, but provides great track performance in non-nitrous applications. For competition with nitrous, look at setup using the 900 series disc.

"more aggressive on engagement, but provides great performance in non-nitrous applications! For competition with nitrous, look at setup using the 900 series disk.

I would say, that says not to use the 6000 series with nitrous.

I have a 910 disc with all new **** on my 98, Adj master, flywheel, sintered iron PP. Futral Motorsports sold me the kit and I HIGHLY recomend them. They have KICKASS costomer service. When I ordered mine there was a lil messup but it wasn't thier falt (RAMs falt). Go check them out. I love my setup, it is chattery when u don't give it enough gas, so it takes some gettin use too. after about 3-4 days I can drive it like my old clutch. I only have about 500 miles on it and I have heard guys talking about after 1500-2000 miles with my setup that the clutch is still gettin better.
