3rd gear grind

Just got my m6 swap in everything new besides the slave and t56. (new cltuch and master). It will grind 3rd gear when shifting it about 60% of the time. I was told that it has a bad syncro. I guess thats what i get for buying used **** online.

Very possible. It's also possible your clutch is dragging, so you should do the clutch test just to make sure it's not a disengagement issue. Being that it's only third gear and not any others, though, you're probably correct that it's an internal tranny problem. Just a thought.

the clutch test came out fine, theres no disengagement issue. im pretty sure its a syncro. i just want the guy to see who sold me this unit that something is wrong. it grind 3rd no matter how easy i shift it . it needs to be fixed before i ruin the gears in it correct ?

Mine does the same except my transmission has new parts. Been like that about 3 months after I got it. Im going to fix It myself. How old is your slave? Drill mod?

Mine has been grinding 3rd for a little while.....and then last night 3rd is gone all together. So what im saying is fix it asap or you will be buying a gear too
