Default T56 Issue... Reverse Block Plate??

There is normally a block plate to prevent you from hitting Reverse while going forward..

Today while shifting from 4th to 5th WOT I was able to access Reverse... Luckily I realized it and didn't let out on the clutch. A guy I know was behind me and said the reverse lights came on as well....

Any ideas on how that was possible?

During normal driving I can not go to reverse.

The reverse lock out solenoid is not working. Either that or you have trans issue's. Have seen some cars go into a mystical gate between 3rd & 5th & turn the reverse lights on LOL.

Yeah it should be impossible to hit Reverse once you are moving forwards (not sure what speed it engages at)...

You can over power the lockout solenoid and go into reverse, but it isn't easy. I've seen guys ride around forever wondering why it was so difficult to get into reverse just to bring it in the shop and find out a fuse was blown that supplied power to the lockout.

Oh... it is tricky to get into reverse (though it seems to be a syncro and not a blocking issue..) where is the fuse?
