Textralia Z Grip
I have rougly 300 miles on my new clutch. I installed it beginning of July, so yes it is taking me forever and a day to break this clutch in.
My questions...
The clutch on take off has chatter to it, this does not bother me at all, as my car is not my DD, but i have heard that once it is broken in and you give it some heat that the chatter will go away?
Will i could not wait to WOT, so yesterday i *kind of* put it to the test. Is it ok that i got to like 5K on it?
Man this thing is sticky

Its not so much that you got to 5k on it, Its more how you treat the pedal. If you just granny shift it then floor it your not going to hurt it. Where you are going to hurt it is when you pop the clutch out to do a burnout or slam the gears from 0-100.
As for the chattering, you may need to bleed the system some more, these hydros need a ton of bleeding.
However if this does not fix the chattering and it chatters more as time goes on you should pull the trans out because the clutch was not installed correctly. This just happened to me and my clutch is completely fried. You can see pics of my z-grip on my thread "clutch noise".

How can you intall a clutch incorrectly? That is why there is a clutch alignment tool.
I will wait and see if the chatter goes away

No you missunderstood me. There is a clutch alignment tool so you can mate the input shaft to the piolet. Without that you couldnt even get the transmission all the way in. But you can install a clutch insorrectly if you torque the PP bolts to much. This will cause there to be to much force on the disk causing problems.

Do a couple of third gear take offs. Easy on it. Let it cool and then beat this **** out of it. Dump it or whatever. i was also told to downshift alot at first to get some heat to it.

I installed the clutch. Drove it 10' out onto the road from the garage, and I proceeded to give it pure hell. Been holding great for about 1.5k miles so far. I drive my car like I stole it all the time. So far its a fantastic clutch.

If you do a quick search, you'll find that a lot of people with Textralia chatter problems usually get the recommendation to do a couple of 2nd gear launches to get some heat in the clutch, and that usually takes care of most of the chatter.

I've had my OZ700 since the beginning of 2006, and it currently has approximately 22k on it. When I first got it installed, I drove it easy for about 500 miles, and YES, it chattered pretty good at times depending on how you did your foot work.
After the "break in", I proceeded to beat the **** outta this thing the rest of it's life. It's laughed at my 615+rwtq numbers (on the street granted), and I've NEVER had it slip, EVER! It's killed my 10 bolt twice, once on the 1-2 shift in nov of 06 at the track on nittos, by exploding the zexel torsen, and then I decided to risk the 10 bolt yet again on July 1st of this yr. It ripped through the pinion and ring gear like they were toothpicks.
At any rate, everyone will have their OPINIONS on how to break something in. I know that my method obviously worked fine, since the clutch is still holding awesome after much abuse and lots of miles on it.
Oh, after some miles and beatings, it DID stop chattering for the most part. I might get my footwork a lil wrong every now and then and it might chatter a bit, but NOTHING like when new. Overall it's pretty smooth for a performance clutch.

Great man thanks for the advice... I appreciate it. And the Z Grip is supposed to hold 700 RWTQ
