Default "Tighten" the clutch?

My clutch doesnt even begin to engage until about half way, so is their anyway to tighten it up so it begins to engage right away like its supposed to?

If it's stock, thats the way it's suppose to engage.

There's no such thing as "tightening" a clutch, but you can buy an adjustable master cylinder and move your pedal engagement points up and down. Thats not really necessary until you have an aftermarket clutch that requires it.

No, it's in a different spot than it used to engage. Now it's farther down, I want to get it back to stock. I can't use higher gears or reverse because it's not engaging far enough.

Sounds like Hydraulics to me, possibly a bad slave, or Air in the system, you do any work to it recently? Try bleeding the clutch. Theres hundreds of threads on here about bleeding.

Yeah someone else said hydraulics in another thread. I haven't done anything to it, it just randomly started acting up yesterday.

What exactly is bleeding the clutch? Like changing the oil except for the tranny?

I just tried this, it goes into reverse while off, does that help?

Actually, I can get it into the higher gears, I just need to push the clutch to the floor then even harder and it shifts REALLY hard. Please, can someone help me? This is frustrating.

Read the bleeding section here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/742741-sticking-clutch-pedal-write-up.html

Print a copy and refer to it while you're doing the procedure. You'll be amazed at how your clutch pedal will wake up when you're done.

Good information, it indicates that your clutch isn't fully disengaging.

Bleed it and refill with fresh fluid soon, minimize your driving until it's done...shifting with the clutch not disengaging is rough on the transmission internals.

Yeah, I figured it was, it grinds a lot. Thanks, I'll try this very soon.
