Default t56 with 4-10s

i have 2000 ss with a t56 and i want to go to 4-10s in the rear what am i looking at for gas mileg?

Unless you do alot of sustained highway driving over 65 mph, I don't anticipate it changing much. I just went to 4.10's and around town I can actually use 6th gear now so I can still keep the revs down while cruising.

only the highway cruising rpm changes, in city, you just run 1 gear higher than you normally drive so it stays the same for the most part.

I still knocked off nearly 25 mpgs in my heads/cam 4.10 geared m6 spring before last on a trip running 75-80. Had the a/c on the entire way too with the cruise activated and it wasnt flat ground by no means. I've got 4.30s now and I don't expect it to drop enough to tell a difference with the varying conditions throwed in the mix.

I have 4.11 (12-bolt). I seen 1-2 MPG reduction on the highway only. City I still pull around 17-19 and my car has 120K.

Your not picking the RPM's up that much really. Plus if your cammed you would prolly be better off with more gear anyway for cruise speeds.
4.10 IMO is at the least the gear needed for a N/A LSx.

I'm clicking off 28-29mpg on the highway with 3.73 rear gears and a TR224 cam if that gives you a data point.

with 4.10's, driving to and from North Carolina I avaraged 25-26mph with a 450HP H/C [30# injectors]

with 500HP and 4.56's I get about 23mpg on the highway with 40# injectors.

On the highway the dference is tiny. Around town, its all on you. If you shift at 5000rpm your milage will suck. If you're a pansy like me and shift at 2500rpm around town you can get some decent MPG numbers.
