Default Time for a rebuild... Now what?

My T56 needs to be rebuilt and I want to take advantage of whatever I can while its apart. Should I upgrade the components to something better than stock? My clutch seems fine but should I upgrade it as well? Flywheel?

My engine is mostly stock but I would like to upgrade to a stroker (416 or 427 ...something in the 450-500hp range) in a couple of years. any suggestions?

how many miles?

if you are taking the transmission off, i would recommend replacing the clutch also.. theres no need for another heartache once you have to take the trans back off in a few months to replace the clutch

yes if your putting that much power down .... call amber @ sixspeedsinc. it's well worth it to look into a clutch at the same time those motors are putting out 500 plus rwhp a ls7 will not do ...

85k miles. yep, it looks like the clutch will be replaced as well. Any suggestions for 450-500 lb/ft torque?

In addition to replacing any gears/sliders that are worn, I would do the following upgrades:

-steel 3/4 fork
-billet 3/4 keys
-new carbon blocker rings
-bronze fork pads (at least 1/2 and 3/4)

Your trans will handle ~700ft lbs with those upgrades.

Yeah you might as well upgrade the clutch along with the hydraulics as well . Do it once and do it right .

Hydraulics? Master and slave cylinders? Is an '01 or '02 setup sufficient?
