Was supposed to send me a ls3 money maker intake and extras, kept being "busy" and couldn't ship. Well today he said he was going to have his son go ship it off, now says his son didn't come back home and won't text him the tracking info. Ended up telling him to just send me my money back and if it shows up I'll just resend the amount. That's when he stopped texting me.

Don't do business with the scum bag.

When did you place the order? Before we throw a fellow member under the bus you've at least given him the opportunity to respond here and to make it right. Hopefully there's a ending!

June 31st I think. He said he'd get it sent out that day or next morning, then the next morning, then he had his son send it off, then his son wouldn't reply to him with a tracking. I asked if he would send money back since it looked like I wasn't getting anything and if it showed up I'd resend it. That's when I stopped getting a reply.

Calling bank this morning to get it disputed, just a pain in the *** taking my time to do this over a thief. If some crazy reason it shows up next week I will most definitely update this, however I have my doubts.

Im trying to see this from both sides. I understand $700 is a lot to feel like you lost in a scam and not getting a prompt response can really leave a buyer feeling like they have been had by a stranger. Communication is key for a buyer an seller here and theres really no excuse to not send a txt or message at least once every 24 hours.

However if it has only been 3-4 days id wait just a little longer before and see what happens. 2-3 days is pretty average handling time for shipping out goods. The good thing is that the bank can usually get all your money back if you use a service like paypal.

Hopefully the situation works out for the both of you and its nothing more than a misunderstanding.

No response from the seller/LS1tech member on here would go far for calling a spade a spade.

This was more of a beware of buying from the guy, I will get my money back its just the hassle. And as for him having a for sale ad he didn't, I had a wanted at looking for a ls3 money maker intake. He sent a bunch of pics, so he obviously has one. However isn't planning on letting it go. I understand all about shipping and understand that you at times get tied up, but 3 times in 3 days. If I had someone's $700 and was suppose to ship something out I'd make it a priority as I would wish for the same.

I believe you are in the right here. But I fear - hopefully I am wrong - that you may have gotten scammed.
The low post count and then ghosting you it is a bad sign.
mid the post count was high and seller had some decent ratings I would cut some slack since life happens. But this one smells rotten.
good luck to you and please keep this thread updated with outcome

This guy has probably seen this post. I'd bet money on it. And if he hasn't commented..... I have 3 kids. $700 is alot in my house. And like an earlier post said, there should be an update every 24 hours if things didn't go as originally planned. That's just common courtesy. Hopefully you get your money sooner than later. Good luck

Hey all, just so you know I text the guy 3 times Saturday and no reply. For the ones that wasn't sure, I think that should put some clarity in for you. And yes, when someone tells me they're going to ship my **** I expect to shipped when they say or shortly after. Period.

I don't **** people around and don't expect fucked around, when someone pays me on a Wednesday I'm shipping out Thursday. I don't **** with peoples money as I know it doesn't grow on trees.

100% scammer. Copies and pastes from CorvetteForum posts: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...l-problem.html

Users on here should be more diligent with their process of buying. There were a lot of 'signs' here that are immediate red flags. Sorry to hear that you're going through this, and I think a lot of us have all learned this lesson once or twice.

*Edit - You should contact an admin to have their account suspended.

You aren't wrong, he messaged me 2 weeks after my 'wanted to buy" ad. So considering someone had what I needed was instant excitement and it got me. Lol

Never buy anything online without using paypal via credit card attached to paypal (don't send funds direct from bank to paypal) and never give funds as "a gift".

It's all good my bank took care of it, but definitely was putting this out there so no one else was taken advantage of.
