10+ years ago maybe. Apparently you haven't tried to find one lately. Even used SS grilles are in the mid 300's now.

The place you listed drop ships everything, buy one and if you get it and I'll double your money. These have been discontinued for years, nobody has them in stock. There was a decent used one on Ebay a couple weeks ago that went for $425, and there is a brand new one on there now that I'm sure will go for more than that when the auction is over. Thanks for your feedback.

Paid $200 for one with a bow tie and wasn't perfect. If you have a mint condition car and want a mint discontinued part it will cost you! Glws!

yea just because a website is selling it doesn't mean they have it. you always need to call before placing orders on something like this to be sure they have it in stock, no drop ship as previously mentioned.

I too have seen these go up in price since SLP discontinued them. I'm glad I have one but no need to **** on his price. It is high? Maybe but that's up to whoever wants to buy it. GLWS OP

I had to click on this thread because with the term people use, "rare", I figured it was going to be expensive......but I was shocked. And entertained. Thanks.

I've noticed that nowadays, if someone says "rare", that means expansive as ****, whether its worth it or not. thanks for the laugh tho!
