Default Thinking of running group special on POWDER COATING wheels

Hey dudes

Was thinking of doing a little winter time special here on custom powder coated wheels, i know there is local interest.

So everyone is aware I don't media blast rims,I built a strip tank that holds a high tech non hazardous dissolver that safely removes powder and paint from the wheel. Blasting is harsh and can damage aluminum wheels if not done carefully, plus it can get pretty expensive as well. ($50-60 per wheel to blast powder off is typical around here).

Normal pricing is $100 per wheel for stripping and powder coating. If I can get 3 sets of wheels at a time in here I would go to $70 per wheel...30% off!

If you have bare metal rims such as pro stars or TT2's for example I can work on your price a bit more even.

Let me know who is interested winter is the perfect time to do this while the car is put away.

If you need a hook up on the tires being removed and re-installed my best friend manages a Just Tires in Des Plaines and will give deals to anyone working with me

No problem. They'd be a strip though since they are clearcoated from GM.

haha I think my fiance has that taken care of either way. Although she says "eh" to wheels but "I like the deep sound exhaust or whatever" to exhaust haha

Anyways, If I brought them to you, would you be able to take care of it all for me? (Removing tires, strip rims, powdercoat, tires back on, me pick up car) or would I need to take everything separate?

PM me if you got a price on a whole deal.

Also, say I take the car through the car wash, where they have little scrubbing things for the rims. Would it take the paint off? I know powdercoating is tough but my question is how tough?

Heavy Chevy--I can strip up to 22" rims. I plan to do my factory rims on my TBSS in the spring actually. PM me if you want to set something up for yours.

Schultz I could take care of everything, not a huge deal. If the car is your daily driver not sure how long you could have it down though? Doing all that would take some time.

Would take a helluva lot more than a car wash to do anything to powder. Its very tough and flexible. Pretty much have to curb it good to damage it.

Sweet sweet sounds good. I think I'll do that and a cheap exhaust solution. I could work out another DD given the right week. Can you toss me a PM or post here with a price for it all done and how long it would take?
