inside the next week or two and thought I would first off, say Howdy to Iowa (I'm coming back!) and it's right there on the corner of Iowa, Illinois and Missouri.

Any Iowa requirements for smog checks? I already saw you've got front license plates and wondered how many of you who don't like the front one, deal with it.

Race tracks. . . Where are the nearer tracks to Keokuk and how well are they maintained? Whats the typical DA for those tracks?

No smog checks and there is no tint on the front side windows thats legal. The tint law sucks.

yep, no tint. You will be close to eddyville (1/8th mile) which is usually prepped decent unless it's midnight madness....

You are a couple hours away from Cordova, but its also a nice track and a 1/4 mile one. I have never put a front plate on my car, and have gotten a few slaps on the wrist about it but I think they understand why.

I did Cordova a few times back around 99/00 on my YZF750, but never a car. So, I'm looking at about an hour plus to get to any track from Keokuk? Joy. . . . I'm spoiled down here in Texas. I've got a 1/4 mile track about 17 miles from my driveway. . .

You can have tint here. Must allow more than 70% of light in. Not much at all. Mine are tinted 18% on the sides, it's dark. I don't run a front plate and usually only the highway patrolman hassle you with that one. Sorry you have to move here man! Haha, nah it's not too bad. Welcome to the state.

Thanks for the replies. Made a trip to Cordova the past week to see a friend run. BOY it's tough going to the track to only watch Made it to Iowa just fine and already hunting down parts. Got a nice Kirkey seat on the cheap and looking for a catback if anyone is looking to sell or can help. Thanks.

I live about 30 miles from keokuk, in Colchester Il and this is kinda a dead area around here for cars and stuff. Sucks at times for sure.
IL has crappy no tint laws and the front plate law too. I just dont understand why some states wont allow tint and no front plate?
