Default Be careful when changing wiper blades!!

I was changing my wiper blades today and i got the first one on pretty good then i went to the second one and pulled up the arm so it was up-right. Well i was a few feet away fiddling with the wiper blade and a strong wind came and slammed down the METAL arm which is SPRING TENSIONED onto my windshield. Needless to say, it spider-webbed the whole passenger side

now i get to spend 250 bucks on a not-so-fun car part. o well, live and learn

pics coming tomorrow when i can look at it and not be pissed off.

Took me forever to change my blades with the Sunoco hood, since I couldn't raise the arms all the way up. Tried it with the hood up, down, everywhere. Almost had the arm smack the window like that, but didn't hit hard enough to do damage.

I had my wiper arm up yesterday taking leaves out, then I popped the hood and snap. passenger arm broke. Thankfully this site let me know how to take it off. Question will all 93-2002 Camaro wiper arms work on my 98 Camaro. thanks, John

I usually fold up a towel long ways and lay it on the windshield.

I'm guilty of this to. Some of my paint chipped.

A friend of mine did this to with the Raptor Fiberglass hood, and it actually cracked the hood in a spot.

I went and bought a wiper puller from advanced auto for $15.00. It's a small tool. Looks easy to use. haven't used it yet. I'm going to put the 93-96 wipers on my 98. Will there be any problems. Thanks, John
