i came across something called IL house bill 4888
i guess the sec of state claims the state would save 1million by only producing one plate instead of 2

I can't imagine putin a plate on my TA and taking off the bird cover.
I would think they would save more than a mill

yeah that would be awesome ive had my car for about 2 1/2 years and never had a problem without having a front plate till last year. I was pulling out of dunkin d drive thru and here comes a cop walking out to his car, he looks at my car and sees that i have no front plate, he speeds up to about 45 mph to catch me down a side street that has a speed limit of 25mph. Talk about ignorant just to give me a ticket for no front plate. I would love for that bill to pass so i could rub it in his face everyday on the way to work in the summer!!

Law enforcement agencies can kiss my *** on this one. I can see their concern about officer safety with the tints, when it's super dark I'd be worried too if I was a cop. But front plates? **** that, nobody is in danger from the lack of a front plate.

ive gotten 2 tickets for no front plate, never paid for either. just put the plate back on, take a picture, go to court, and then they throw it out. it would be nice if i wouldnt have to hassle with court anymore tho.
