How about them Chicago BLACKHAWKS!!!! 
HUGE GAME ONE VICTORY for the Hawks in a exciting but sloppy game,with both goalies not looking good at all, but Niemi finally settling down in the 3rd period when it was need most, and the Hawks outscoring the Flyers in this 6 to 5 shoot out. Also, the referees had some terrible no calls against the Hawks and the Hawks winning this with 0 power plays to the Flyers 4 power plays is another huge positive factor for the Hawks in this series.
HUGE game to win to protect your home ice advantage, get the momentum going early in the series, and winning the oh so important game one despite some very sloppy play and turnovers, and Niemi having his worst game in the play offs (but still pulling out the win)!
And lets not forget that very important fact that the last 4 Teams to win the Stanley Cup were all game one winners!
GO HAWKS!!

i know absolutely nothing about hockey and won't be jumpin on the bandwagon anytime soon but definetely good for the team :-) i hear they are young guys and they work hard. keep it goin guys!

Yeah a lot of them are really young. But I hear that seats in the nose bleeds are going for as much as 250 all the way up to like 30K for a good *** seat. **** is ridiculous because like 4-5 years ago the stadiums weren't even crowded.

A win is a win for sure! The game last night I felt was out of control. I hope to see some better play in the next 3 games! I think we definitely need to control the puck more and stop the dam dump and chase crap. I know there is a lot of it used in the NHL but you get nothing accomplished. Rant over!

I was at the game last night ,it was a very sloppy game but it sure was exciting as all hell! The UC was so fricken loud the whole game .You couldn't even hear the Anthem .Awesome!!

I thought Hawks in 5 games but after seeing how they won the game even with their poor defense and goaltending I think they can sweep. They are just that much better and deeper than the Flyers. The pressure of being on home ice showed in Game 1, I see them winning today and both in Philly, remember they like playing on the road. I know I sound biased but I honestly have no worries about them not winning the cup, its almost a given. I also know if cheap Bill Wirtz didn't die and Rocky didn't break open the piggybank they would not be playing in the Stanley Cup now.
