Very sorry to report that Dave Himes the owner of Muncie Dragstrip passed away yesterday.He was only 45 years old and died after a short illness.Dave was a good man and will be missed.Please pray for his wife Diane and the Himes family.R.I.P. Dave

That is a true shame! Not only did he spruce the track up after purchasing it a few years ago, but he was also and excellent fabricator of race cars at his Automazing Race Cars business in Westfield.

His automazing race cars business is still there and operational, my friend is currently operating out of there. The new name is RPM Performance. Dave was a great guy and really turned Muncie around. Not to mention he loved the drag racing scene just as much as if not more than all of us. He will be missed!
