My car got tinted at mark coles... And they even let me stand and watch when I wanted... I heard the evnymod/or evrymod is good for the tdi.. Was thinkn bout gettin one and researched them a little bit.. Timing chain is only good for like 75kmiles max.. And that's about all I know.. Tranny for truck goin in tomorrow! Then the beast is comin out of the grave and hopefully gettin back on the road next week!!! Jeez I'm so ready, but instantly need 4 new tires right off the bat!!.. Hopefully I can get my intake on and feel a different high end pull and run 12's with DR's..

While I would love to mod this car, I really cant do anything to it. I just cant afford it. Turbos are expensive as well as all other mods. A new turbo and a few mods can bump up the power to 180ish HP and 330-350TQ. Nearly double the stock power.
The main reason I got this car was because of all the work done to it. New engine about 10k miles ago (engine is an ACTUAL german engine which was better than the US version) and it has 48k miles on it. New timing belt (which lasts 100k miles) about 5k miles ago, new clutch about 8k miles ago and a bunch of other small stuff. Basically, everything that fails, has, and already been replaced.
Plus, I paid 6500 for it. Its worth about 10k so I feel I gots a good deal. Its a fun little car for the most part. I hate to say this, but its a way better all around car than the 4th gen. Just smoother, easy to get in and out for me, more room, better driving position, better interior and of course the fuel mileage.

Not to much man, I am coming back in about 3 1/2 weeks been over here since the end of November. I am trying to come back to KY for NMRA finals and I want to bring the Cobra, would be a hell of a time. But either way I think I am coming back with or without the car. What's up with you?

Nah, only thing wrong is my torque converter bolts fell out... Researched it and it is common in a 4L tranny..
I've had to pull the tranny twice for a rebuild all because of a bad tps sensor... And now a third time I gotta pull it for the converter bolts..
So all in all none of my own doings have critically damaged the trans.. Only odd **** failing, which is annoying as hell!
It's all good just some money here and there like everything else I guess.

Ey, this is colton's brother. I have his car as my car now since he bought the truck. But not to change the subject too much, i saw one of your guy's post's earlier about window tinting at mark coles? Just curious if any of you knew about how much it'd be for them to take off and put new tint on my back window? (opposite of windshield)

Just had a successful day! I now work at Toyota! And me and some buds shot 12 fish tonight while bowfishing... Only thing I missed out on was some cold beer which woulda definetly sealed the deal... But the gf helped take care of that! Lol

So far on my tranny it could be the converter bolts came out.. Or my front pump on the tranny self terminated, which is starting to sound like what really happened due to the fact that it's very unlikely for me to lose everyone of those bolts at once... So I'd think ok if one fell out then I'd prolly heard it bouncing around for awhile but never heard one so an instant failure makes me lean toward the pump.. After being explained by the tranny shop.

Take the tint off yourself. Itll save you probably 50-75 bucks.
Probably the best way to get an idea, is to call them
