It was only good because it was cold! Dont have to worry about heat soak in the blower when its 40. Your car would have loved it.

Yeah my friend Kevin is the manager there. He has told me about your car. He said its pretty bad ***. I have a 00' Firehawk w/ a EPS cam, TEA heads, ported FAST 92/92, L/T's, 3 in ORYP w/ a 4in cutout back into the SLP dual/dual muffler. Tick stage 2 rebuild w/ monster 3.5 clutch and 3.42 gears. It did 430/420 earlier this year. I then found out the machine shop set my heads completely wrong. Wrong spring height. I had seal to retainer contact, wrong retainers, wrong seat locators. I can't believe I didn't blow the car up. I hope to have it back on the road next week. I ended up having too long of pushrod in it too. I "hope" that it does closer to 450 with everything setup correctly but we will see.

So I had a new cam installed (MS4) with double valve springs, hardened chromoly pushrods, and a 85mm intake and throttle body, now its knocking. Sounds like its in the heads. Im guessing a collapsed lifter but can any of you guys help identify? Im in Charlestown.

Lots of noise in the valvetrain of a cammed ls1! May not be anything but incorrect pr length.

Guessing you didn't get new lifters?

I did not get new lifters as it was not suggested by the salesman... biting me in the *** now. but it is definitely not a normal noise, definitely a knock.

Did you measure pushrod length? Also what height were the springs set at?

No idea what they were set at and I was told to just used the 7.4 pushrods as I have stock heads and all. Its definitely not a sewing machine noise, and wheres it snowin at?
