I saw premium for $3.19 at the corner of Ashland and Lawrence, on the North side of Chicago. That's not even a hot corner or anything... Wow!!!!

Crude was $64.50 a barrel yesterday. The problem is China wants every barrel they can get there hands on and don't care what they pay for it. Plus Russia and other places are not meeting the output they claimed they would.

I’m commuting 75 miles a day with my Bonneville. With about 85% expressway driving and 15% city, I’m getting 27-30mpg depending on traffic/speed and how often I run the A/C. With pure highway miles it’s about 30-33mpg. Not too bad for a big luxury car with a 3.8L V6 and auto trans. I’d say I’m spending about $40-45 a month more on gas to commute than I did at last year’s prices. I don’t like the gas prices any more than anyone else, but it’s not really the end of my world. I don’t plan to change my driving habits (public transportation isn’t even an option for me anyway) other than maybe slowing down a little on the expressway, I’m not going to run out and buy a Hybrid ( ), and it’s not going to bankrupt me or force me to give up anything just to afford gas.

Ya off RT53 (Cheepest place I know of to get gas locally) I was able to fill up my Z at $2.95 (93) a gallon at Mobil 1. Burbank I was seeing $3.19 also. Lately I've been driving my audi a lot more since it gets 24mpg... but that car still takes 93
