Weather permitting I'll be there this time with the Formy

Bad news I don't have a prayer to make a decent run with the new mods on the crappy street tires I have

Out of work at 4:30 on the 9th I'll be there. Maybe not with car if the LT's come in next week. Maybe I'll ride in hifi's beast.

Well I will be there, my longtubes will not yet be in as they are scheduled for delivery that day. I really wanted them in for that date and am disappointed in the vendor since I ordered in MARCH.

I have accidentally filled the tank days before racing too and mine is a 23 gallon tank. I haven't really done anything to it so I expect mostly very low 14s and some 13s as she has done earlier this year.

I think that about does it for me and RSDs When I go to the track I like to race, not sit in line. I know they need enohg cars to turn a profit but the last two RDSs have been rediculous. Friggin rice and spectators parking in my tires and such.

Todays header install went badly. One is in and needs to be removed because when I unwrapped it(wrapped to protect from scratches during install) I found it is touching the frame. The other side had a broken manifold to head bolt in a location the headers use. Went to Hartbor Freight and bought a cheap 110volt welder because with the cast iron heads you can weld a nut over a broken off bolt and spin it out well the weld keeps breaking. I am debating swapping in my spare heads. Would let me swap in my beehives and larger TB(58MM so I have to port the intake) at that time as well as go to a slightly thinner headgasket I actually have everything I need exept head bolts I am not sure if I can reuse the stockers or not. At least I have the wagon, otherwise I would have had to get the headers in and deal with the fact the broken bolt would have toasted expensive header gaskets FAST. So basically I started at 9:30am and by 7:00pm all I had accomplished was tearing the car apart. If I can get my hands on one I might try a right angle drill before tearing off the heads.
