Did you reset your computer right before going in?

You need to drive it around for a while. I think in Texas we are allowed up to 2 not ready systems, or something like that.

his car's an 01... at least here in IL you're only allowed 1 not ready for 01+, 00 or previous you're allowed 2

Sounds like you just reset the PCM? (either manually, or battery went dead, replaced battery , etc..)

I'm sorry Rich. That sucks.

When did all this happen? What have you done to your car lately?

If you look at your sheet it should say you were rejected.
Not a fail. If you have no codes & to many readiness tests unset, you are rejected. So it doesn't really count.

That's why you didn't pass.... the readiness tests require a combination of cold starts, warm starts, and driving ....

It's pointless to reset the ecm/pcm ... cause that resets ALL readiness tests....

I'm emissions legal and I did 5 cold starts (to operating temp), several warm starts (let car run for a few minutes on starting... to switch to closed loop) and about 25 miles or so driving .... only had 1 readiness test not complete (evap)

Just got back from putting the camaro out at my grandpas for the winter. I want to start tearing apart everything soon. I am debating on a nice solid roller 346 motor
