No my car is not the purple car. I was driving a friends c6 that night. Doug knows what happened the night that they raced and he should just man up about it. I was in the pass seat of tim's car and had a plain view of what went down! My car is not as fast as tim's black car but I hope doug and I can run soon so we can put this all to rest!

Barring no r--n appears tomorrow, I'll be out at the track for some Fall fun

Come on out and enjoy the newly-paved return road

Well it was about 50% paved last week, so there were way more pebbles than usual. Hopefully they've finished it up by now.

Dear Traction & Track Prep,

Where in the hell were both of you guys tonight? All of us that attended the Street Legal Drags really missed having you both around. I know you've both got busy schedules, but hopefully you'll be able to pencil us in for next Tuesday. Now make sure you both are free for next Tuesday. We don't want just one of you....we need you both!

If you've forgotten where ORP is, just let me know. I'll be happy to pass along some directions.

Sincerely,

Scott

The owner of the car below was out there tonight. He might be good on the track, but his highway driving totally sucks. I've never seen anyone vary their speed so much on the interstate. I especially didn't appreciate him speeding up and driving alongside me either when I was trying to pass him. I don't street race, and I don't appreciate being taunted on the highway. I guess if he really wanted to race me that bad, he should have come over to me at the track.

His car looks like it was parked in front of a vinyl sign shop that exploded.

I only go up on prep night and I mean VHT... not prep left over from the weekend.

Prob going to go to Muncie next season on a prep night, car is about to go under the knife

If they want kids off the street, they really should do some track prep. I mean really I can just go out to some back country road and run it if they're not going to prep the track. The results will be the same (minus the time slip).

But how much does it really matter on street tires?
I went to the NFME event at ORP last year and even with lower tire pressure I was cutting the same 60 on street tires with it being preped as I was when I was at ORP street night.

I think just about everyone there was also that was on a street tire.

Hear muncie hooks a lot better.

I've made nearly 200 passes at ORP. When the rubber is good & the track prep is there (leftover from the weekend), my street tires will hook good.

The owner of the car is a good guy. I dont know if he was trying to play with you on the highway or not. Hes an older guy. Hes a doctor, and the car that you see he bought and paid for himself to promote a show that he does everyyear called the wingedwarrior show. Its a car setup for autocross and roadracing, but he wants to get the car into 11's... Hes been having trouble with it. The stickers you see on the car are his sponsers for his show.

His name is Butterfield. Like I said hes a great guy at heart. The signatures on the front of the car are from Indy500 racers and actors that hes trying to dontate to raise money for Riley Childrens Hospital, which is also the reason he puts on the show, to raise money for them.

Well that's good that he's a doctor. At least when he crashes from driving so stupid he can give himself medical treatment. Hopefully he doesn't injure anyone else in the process.

Yeah, there was a lot of engine revvers out there. The fella in the yellow Cobalt SS is going to end up zinging his motor.

Awesome! I can't wait to hear your car now.

The forecast is calling for rain, but that'll change 10 times before Tuesday.

Well that's kinda funny Charlie....you finished off the part that the other guy started.

I didn't drive the 'bird to work today, so I won't be out at the track tonight. I've got some freelance work that I need to get started on, and what little track prep that was left from the weekend will be completely gone now I'm gonna wait and see how next Tuesday's weather is....

Has anyone else noticed that the final event is listed as Monday, October 30th? I'm wondering if this was done because of Halloween? I have a schedule that they handed me earlier this year taped up here in my cubicle at work, and it definitely says the 30th If anybody hears anything about it just post it up in here please....

Whats funny is that it seems peoples cars do great untill someone else takes it down the track and breakes it. Happend to the purple supra the other week there also.... clutch drop.... snaped rear end. Owner stuck with paying for it.

If someone asked me to take my car down the 1320 I would laugh really hard. Even if it was a friend.
