idle fluctuating up and down hey guys,i got my 98 ls1 done,but having that pesky idle fluctuation up and down when cold and on restarts,looking for tuner that can correct this,im located in ohio.any help greatly apprciated

I had that problem when I self-ported my TB: I epoxied and re-drilled IAC and Air holes, and that made my RPMS fluctuate up and down. Figured, the IAC hole was too small, and it "choked"
I made the holes bigger, and that fixed my problem....

with idle surges or stable rpms, yes it might be an IAC as some have suggested but also check out your TPS (throttle position sensor) its a $30 potentimeter and when it goes out, all types of erractic rpm behavior can happen.
Also if you had the battery disconnected for some time, it could just be your PCM relearning. Have you allowed the car to run for some time or even drive it.
If all your doing is starting it up and shutting down right away your pcm is still in a dumby restart loop.

Gillbot I was just kidding about the nude bars.I married dont have aneed to go ,dont drink much either.I may take you up on your offer on help.Im not too memchanically inclined but if you need agood steak cut(Im the meat manager in Harshman rd Meijer)I can help you out,again I was just kidding about the nude bars sorry if I sounded offensive.
