You can't take the insurance off the bike is it financed. Some insurance companies will allow you to do a comprehensive deal. Where you do 6 months on and 6 months off type of deal. It goes from full coverage to storage insurance. Thats what I have with both my bike and my ta.

with my insurance country companies you cant just take the insurance off when you store it in the winter it is one rate for the year and mine is around 260 for the whole year granted my bike is a 95 ZX6R

http://motorcycleservices.com/

Try them for insurance. They were the cheapest I found when I used to ride, and they use kemper which is a good company. I had to make a claim with them and I had no problems.

i had a 03 r1 through progressive. 250 a year only liability though. i didnt need to show proof of full coverage because my loan was under 9k. it was too much for full coverage
