Tornado sirens in Chicago!!!
Ya they were going off here in brookfield for about 10 mins. The news just stated that it looks like it will hit lyons and head thru cicero. Damn lyons is a matter of blocks away from me!

We had the sirens here in Lincolnwood as well. I guess a tornado was spotted in Park Ridge, but I don't think it ever touched down.
I was already in the basement lifting at the time so I just continued.
First time I've ever had a workout interrupted by a nearby tornado....thankfully it ended up being nothing.

sirens in hanover park for 15 minutes then again for another 10 minutes about 30 minutes in between

I was in Buffalo Grove during that.. crazy ****! sirens were going off for a bit, some hail, crazy crazy rain. then, while it was still an absolute Down pour, then sky completely cleared to the west and had bright sun creating probably the most brilliant Rainbow I've ever seen. Driving back home to schaumburg sucked with the rain, and sun at the same time.. Yes I was traveling west striaght into the sun for a bit too.. NEVER seen glare like tha tin my life. Talk aobut flooding too.. in schaumburg several roads were closed off and water everywhere. Also found 1.5" thick layer of hail all over the lawn too. one hell of a storm.
My street usually floods so I went outside to see how bad it was and how many cars were going to need new carpets in the morning and saw this, good thing I didn't leave my car outside today
i was watching it with the weather station we have at the fire dept....my town got lucky, there were no reports of touchdowns, but that big spinning red blur on the radar made everyone go into bunkerdown mode

Yep it was nuts in hanover. Flash flood hit me and I kid you not the water rose like a foot on woodale in a matter of minutes. My damn car was turned into a submarine. Currently looking for a new short block! Maybe a 402??
