Impound for Windows Being Tinted Hey guys today i got yesturday i got rolled because my windows were tinted. I got pulled over in Countryside, and the cop was an ***..He said they could impound my car and all sorts of stuff for windows being tinted. Does this seem right??
They can't do that. But if you have like limo tint and he was a ***** that can lead to a long asschewing by the side of the road. Once I had to sit there and scrape the tint off a window by the side of I55 like 6 years ago. He had me do that for about 20 minutes.
ya i have limo tint..I think im just gonna roll with the windows down..lol..It sucked cause i seen the cop and was gonna roll down the window and it wouldnt roll down, and he got me..SOB..so i have to pay a $30 now which isnt too bad.,
dont know about where you are but thats not too bad. In SC tint ticket is $257. Will your car get towed for it, no, can it, yes. If you get stopped by the same cop for tint again plan to go to jail and have your ride towed.

I don't know if it changed in IL, but when I lived there, you could go as low as limo tint in the back, but not touch the fronts. I had 5% all around in IL for about a week until I moved out here. I didn't get pulled over, but I got stared down by a lot of cops.

Only the 70% factory tint is legal for front side windows.

It had nothign to do with window tint. 
ive had my car out cruising maybe three times got pulled over twice! one fro lou exhaust (cutouts were off) and one becuase i cut across three lanes and the cop saw me but only gave me a ticket for no front plate haha
