Not looking good for the trip to RPM tomorrow. Rain sucks. Taking the day off work anyway for my son's "Back to School Night", so I might be able to drive it down late morning and beg Julie to come get me in the afternoon. She might just leave me there! LOL.

Car's at RPM. Only about 60 minutes door-to-door. Believe it, or not, my car and it's previous owner are somewhat notorious down there. LOL. If the converter's junk, I'm probably going with a Vig 3800 five disc. They quoted me $995 for that, only about $100 more than the 3 disc. Good insurance, IMO. I figure the 3800 is the better choice (vs. 3600) due to the fact that I rarely use the spray on the street and the higher stall is better suited for just motor.

the 3800 is a good choice, I think they will do a restall for free if I remember right. I would get the strongest multidisc you can get!!! Yeah, they know the car down there...WHen you get the new converter, have them (or whoever) flush the tranny, new fluid and filter (I am sure they would do this anyways). Breaking in the tranny is important for the clutches...what I do is drive normal on the highway at 65 mph, and use my laptop/EFI Live to lock and unlock the converter every 30 seconds or so while the cruise is on 65mph. I do this until I get it to lock 50 times. Then let it cool down overnight, and the next day go out and smah it a couple of times, let it cool down for 30 minutes, and repeat with the nitrous and see how it reacts then!
