We were using a PI th400 stall, now its up in the air about what we can get this week before memphis.

Thanks to the guys at Moser Enginering hanging out giving us a hand setting the car up to hook at the action traction race track lol.

Congrats Bob!! that's great for the first time out. Get that thing dialed in some more and let it fly...probably low to mid 9's ??

My brother has one in the works, but it is pretty far off from the point of needing a tune. As in still in the process of pulling the rotary far. Hopefully by next year it'll be a part of one of these all day tuning sessions.

Low 9s is probaly going to be a good number to run, just need a good track like norwalk.

The new moser is kickass as well, lots of adjustment on the sweet torque arm.

I was just going to call you and tell you if the converter is fixed and locing hard in 3rd, you will want a 3.73 gear with those tall *** tires (28+inch)...3.42 was good for the 26 in MT ET Streets. I think high 9's are a definite with the car, just that darn 10 bolt....its a crapshoot at this power level. If you have to, pill it up to 200 shot, sould be fine with the tune, just take 1 degree more out with the timing tuner and be sure to use 93-94 octane with some Torco or just 5 gallons of high octane 110+ race gas (no 02 sensors or cats, so leaded fuel is fine for racing).

Bob, I saw pics of the build of the orange monster on corvetteforum.com, what engine sepcs and blower specs, etc are you at now?? What fuel was used and any meth? Th400 is kind of the way to go on F-bodys, or just a glide if you want a track car. 4L60E just too fragile and gear spacing not great, plus not much in terms of converter options. low to mid 9's at 145+ would be ****!

Thanks Darren. With a better converter and a good track we may drop another second out of it. I'd like to see 8's out of it, but it won't happen overnight. I'd say low 9's this year, high 8's next year. Bob

http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=12
Link to my car.

Engine:
It is a .030 6.0 iron block with billet main caps. 4.0 Callies Dragonslayer crankshaft, making it a 408 cid. Callies Compstar connecting rods, Diamond pistons, Total Seal rings. AFR 225/72cc heads, EPP blower cam, Edelbrock Victor Junior intake, elbow and a 90mm throttle body. BS3 electronics

Transmission:
Turbo 400 with reverse manual valve body, tranny brake, RPM Transmissions freshened, having to replace damn near everything.
Vigilante 5000 stall converter - It is flashing to 5600 rpm and we are driving through it. We're going to try to get a converter before Memphis, possibly a Neal Chance, ATI, or a Coan.
If we can get several more hundred pounds out of the car, we'd go with a glide. The car weighs 3100 right now.

Rear End:
Moser M9 rear-end, spool, 370 gears, alum center, 40 spline axles, gun drilled, star flanged, Wilwood rear brakes. Moser torque arm - you gotta check it out!

Power Adder:
ATI ProCharger F1A, with EPP front mount intercooler. 18 psi of boost.

Fuel:
Klotz 113 octane race gas, no meth. Bob

If it goes, you'll be the second to know. 9 inch with 3.70s, aluminum center section, tru-track (probably), narrowed 2.5 per side. Then add some custom offset, 16 inch D10s (assuming they'll clear my C6 front brakes).

Cool, maybe you'll get lucky and you'll be able to finish out the season on the 10 bolt. Bob

I would be in Joe if he brought his partner Alvin that tunes the 93's like mine. I don't think Byran tunes any of the chip car just the 94+.

Sorry to come late to the party, but is this an open track day?
Let me know, I was planning to go to Weds test and tune anyway, but during the day would be better.

Joe,

Azar is the guy to talk to about the tune. I know he still has a few issues with his.

My setup is way to fluid right now to pay someone for a tune; I can get "close enough" with my Wideband/HP Tuners to suit my needs at the moment.

I'm sure if azar has any issues he would give his tuner (us) a ring for a touch up, we stand behind our tunes and always will.
