Downers Grove Car Show - Friday Night 5/25 Just curious if anyone plans on going to the downtown Downers car show tomorrow night(5/25). Im sure most of you know that they have a car show every Friday night during the summer from 6-9pm. Tomorrow night is the first show of the year. Ill be heading up there for a little while, weather pending. Anyone else plan on going?

The car show is on Main Street, south of the train tracks. It's a pretty nice size showing of cars and people. I usually go as often as I can. Here's a little map for you to get to the show, that star on the map pretty much puts you dead center of the show downtown...........

I went a few times last year....awesome show. I dont have the car anymore but I will definitely make an appearance on the Busa a few times this year. Definitely well worth checking out. great show.

Thanks STRETCH’s T/A for posting that map. As he said, its right where the star is at. It’s a pretty good show. I would say there are usually 100-200 cars depending on the weather. Hopefully the weather will hold out. Its mostly older muscle cars, LS1, and for the most part NO ricers! People usually park on MAIN, CURTISS, BURLINGTON, and in the train station parking lot. You cant miss it, there are cars parked all over downtown.

I went in my 1970 Dodge Charger 440 (green and black). If anyone was there from 4 to 7PM i was really easy to spot parked right across fro the Irish bar! 
This is one of the best cruise nights in the area, and the cooler temps and holiday weekend made for a smaller than normal amount of people but stil some really SWEET CARS! 
I go to this show and the ROlling Meadows Cruise night which also rocks with more cars and less people walking through about a 50/50 split during the enitre summer. The ROlling Meadows event goes through October (which is way cool) and is in the MEIJERS parking lot this year on Golf Road just west of ALGONQUIN on south side of street.
Saw one dude tonight at DOWNERS crusing the street in a Black LS1 TA with loud cent. supercharging whistling while he was stuck in traffic and FLP logo on bottom of each door. Was that anybody who is a member here? Car had HOOSIER SLICKS and looked like it was ready to run some solid 10s at DA GROVE!
