Default Looking for a new job. Any ideas?

Does anybody know of anyone that is hiring? i dont know what i wanna do but i know i wanna make somewhere in the 10-12 an hour area or more. ive been working at just tires for 4 years making the same $8.40 an hour the whole 4 years and let me tell ya, its hard building cars making that much. so if anyone knows of any jobs if you could let me know that would be awesome.

I hear ya on that. I dont make much more. I think Im going to give up on trying to go "fast" until I find a much better paying job. Good luck though. Seems everyone wants a hard worker , but only wants to pay $8.50-$11.00hr. Basically you need to get into a union trade or go to school for something.

i used to work at just tires for 2 years...when i was there i only made 8.35/hr.....and wouldnt give too many hours! so i left doing consruction now

get into a laborers union. BP amaco in whiting will be hiring around 300 more labor workers. pay is around $25 hr. local 225 is a chicago land union that i know of

What do they do there? Is that the one off 41 or is that Hammond?

basically there rebuilding the whole refinery. laborers jack hammer, assist other trades with supplies and equipment, sweep/tidy up areas,hole watch for confined space,fire watch etc....... tons of ****. the refinery (BP) is located just off 41/Indianapolis blvd in whiting IN. i believe general laborers are workin 6 days a week 10 hrs a day. Im a Supervisor for an environmental company working at BP.

i start at BP as an operator on the 25th! woohoooo! right now i work at rohm and haas, it is a paint plant in lansing, IL. my last day there is this wednesday. i work in the lab and it is ok there and i make 20/hour but i'm sure i will make much more at BP. look out, the camaro will be gettin a new motor!

ya BP itself is hiring like crazy. not sure what qulifications you need but, good place to work.

If you want to make more than general grunt labor you need to get a job that requires some skill. Changing tires on a car your never going to make much its not a highly skilled job. Get into one of the construction unions or if your good with people you can make some pretty good money in sales depending on what you sell. Otherwise go to college and get a degree.

well i am goin to college right now to get my degree but im still undecided on what i actually wanna do. in the mean time i just need to make more money.
