Head porters around Chicago?
Trying to get an idea of what my motor is going to look like when it's all said and done and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good head porter around Chicago or surrounding areas? I'm from the south suburbs but don't mind taking a drive.
How would a local job compare (price and performance) to picking up something like stg II or III patriot 5.3 heads? I'd basically just pull my own 5.7 heads and drop them off.
This would be for a daily driven car and I'm most likely going medium cam around 224 or 228.
Thanks guys, just seeing if it's worth the trouble .

A special sounds great, unfortunately I'm just in the planning stages of things now.
Would you say going to someone like Rich is worthwhile or would I end up spending about the same for similar results going with something like the patriots in the end?
I'm basically just feeling out whether there's any room to save a bit of money by having my stockers done or if I'd get more for the $$.

The prices for RGR heads are on our website, are they the least expensive option? no, i'd talk to him if I was looking for hand ported heads, a motor with a pair of rich's 243 heads out performed one of the big name CNC 243 heads by a small margin on a near identical setup.
