Default Engineering Openings?

Hey guys,

I know this is a somewhat informal place to look for possible job openings, but I think it's still a good resource. It always helps to know someone, who knows somone!

I am finishing up my BSME degree at the University of Toledo. I was previously at Case Western Reserve. I also already currently have a engineering job, but I am looking for something different.

I graduate in December, but I will beable to work almost full time before then because I am only taking 2 classes for the fall.

I have a large amount of work experience. My concentration is in Manufacturing and Machining. I am looking for something dealing with machining. Automotive Aftermarket would be nice.

I would like to stay in Northern Ohio if possible.

If anybody knows of anyplace hiring let me know. Or any suggestions to where I might want to drop off my resume, that would help also

Thanks guys!

gillbot -- my mechanical engineering design book uses all Timken spec's for all of the bearing problems. I'll get on their website this weekend and see what I can find

Gimp98TNT -- I'll also apply with Swagelok over the weekend. Fun place to work for?

ibanez7 -- Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro Engineer and Pro Mechanica, AutoCAD 2D and 3D, KeyCreator, CADKey

become a CSWP for solidworks and your career will go far with a great salary.
Solidworks is the driving and number 1 CAD package for 3D.

since your also cover manufacturing, learn Gibbs Cam, solid cam or master cam.

Ive been a mechanical engineer/industrial designer for 10 yrs. Now I work for a solidworks reseller as an industrial design manager.

Pro E, solidedge, inventor and other 3D cad programs are dying out and are not in high demand. Solidworks is in demand.

CSWP is Certified Solidworks Proffesional

Its an 8 hour exam created by Solidworks that proves your skill as a solidworks user.

If you pass and get certified, it looks great on a resume. For example if I'm hiring for a new engineer and I'm looking at 3 resumes and they say this:

resume 1 - used solidworks for 4 years.
resume 2 - used solidworks for 3500 hours
resume 3 - I'm a certified solidworks professional.

immediately I would look at resume 3 forget about the other 2, and more then likely offer resume 3 the job along with more money. the CSWP demands more respect and more money..

LOL
