I remember racing there in the early to mid 1980s.My best friend had a 8.50 pro stock bike that we ran in the IDBA.Matt knows who im talking about, he lives right down the street from him.Bob Cook is his name, he runs a NMRA Renagade stang today. We used too make a lot of money with that bike back then. The fastest cars around were like Kevin Larences camaro, and such. Not much in the 8 second range street racing back then.

Summer tires? www.mickeythompsontires.com they make other options for you, including drag radials and a new thing called slicks. Let me know...

I raced with Bob back in the day. He had a Pro"GAS" bike that ran 9.20's not a Pro Stock. Very nice setup tho used to show up with his dad to all the races. He quit in the late 80's and I ran into him again at a NMRA race. Lots of good memories.

Whats your point? I drive my car in the rain and daily occasionally in the summer so DR's wouldn't be too smart, and I don't exactly have the cash to throw down on an extra set of rims for DR's...

and I have a 10 bolt so slicks wouldn't be a very good idea. Again, not much $$ to throw down for some prostars and MT's.....

Most street racers just have regular all season or summer tires if their car is only for the summer. So whats your point? Me and 90% of the other f-body owners don't get traction when it gets cold out

Sorry we don't all have race-cars with a 9" and slicks so we can keep up with you fast guys when it gets cold out. I guess all us pussies just put our cars away for the winter...and the tracks close. I guess all the track owners are pussies too.... wait... that brings it to like 95% of people

Let me know.

Street racing is fun as hell. People still use that spot where folks were racing PewterZ Mark, like I think one race was with Silverghost and another one might have been Intmd8? Maybe around Naperville?

fixed.

"street" racers here carry vht in the trunk and run on slicks. evidently you're not familiar with street racing. any car with any amount of power is on some sort of sticky tire when it's time to run, be it a drag radial or full on drag tire. if you race on a street tire, you must be awd or enjoy thowing money away.

I'm down, I'll take my old slicks and throw them on. 1st one to pass 100' wins, drivers must floor it.
