We did this earlier this year to his car. Engine wise I think we will eventually forge it and if we can talk him into getting a set of LQ9 heads. But right now got to find a storage place for it for winter, got another car to put F/I on

Is this the "other car" you are referring to?

By the way guys, we are in the midst of getting a shop. We already own a 248 dyno...now we need a home for it besides shoved in a corner in the back of a warehouse. We HOPE to be in a shop by this time next year...its hard to say though.

easier to work on then my TA. you can see your WHOLE MOTOR, I can see like the top 2/3's if that.

Really not to hard to drop the motor, I think I had like 18 some bolts or something.

Did the same thing to my old car when I spun the 7th and 8th rod bearings. I'm sure Nate can post pictures of what he did to the car Looks familiar to yours. Its not that bad to work, just have to take your time and not to rush things. Oh and sip a few barley pops while your doing it

Nice to see an IA thread on here. I haven't been on the board much lately since the car is done for a while (except some decent tires) and the season is unfortunately done. Still I'm always up for BS'ing or turning a wrench. Just have to make sure Nate and Josh keep me in the loop.

-Nate I have that MAF whenever you need it.

That was a beautiful car. I had a white '96 WS6 which was a great car until some old b@stard hit it and totaled it.

Isnt kind of odd when a older person (60+) hits some one and says, eh..its just a scratch when they drive an 80's boat car like a mercury.

Joel- Thanks. Next time i run into you I'll have to steal it for Jacob's toy. we finally have it mostly stripped only a few more hours of work before the chassis is ready for sandblasting. Hopefully this year it will run again, this time LS1 powered

RedRocketZ28- If you need a place to do the intake swap I'm sure we can do it at my parents place. I have all of my tools and crap there. Just let me know when kinda works for you, and maybe we can con Rodney into coming back to Des Moines.

Thanks for the offer man. That sounds like a plan. I am sure Rodney wouldn't mind coming down again. Maybe this time he will stay and we can head out and get some beers or something. Maybe Rodney will want a margarita, right Rodney? Haha. I am busy this weekend but maybe one of the weekends coming up? Whatever works for you, and if Rodney can come down that would be cool too.
