took mine to the track today, im not really the dissapointed in it, but it was slow

all being 8.8's basically

I ran a:
8.884 et
82.02 mph
.167 r/t
2.221 60ft
5.882 330ft

I was spinning through all of 1st and 2nd, some passes half of third, others just barking third.

So i decided to just ease into the throttle which didnt spin just barked 2nd and third and still only ran a 8.894. Even tho i was spinning i still had 4 passes that were the same et of 8.864.

Im still running on cheap street tires and a stock intake/paper air filter, how bad are those hurting my e/ts do you guys think??

the paper filter isnt hurting you, but you def, need to get a set of tires on it. When I ran mine with bolt ons, and street radials on it, i managed to muster a 1.99 60 ft time, and an 1/8th mile time of 8.5 at 85 I think, and ran the 1/4 in 12.9 at 110

Was this at Newton? If it was then you probably had no chance to hook with street tires. You need to get some good drag radials as soon as you can and a prepped drag strip will help a ton also. If you could get your 60' time down to say 1.9 that would take about 5 tenths off your time. The 1/8th mile is won with reaction time and the first 60'. Very rarely can you run someone down in the 1/8th if they get a good jump by the first 60'.

yes it was at newton, it was fun, but sucked, i need to get my shift points moved because its shifting around 6500-6600 and its peaked at about 6200. I know i need some good tires, i chased a few down, basically it only looked cool spinning over half track lol if you guys have any buddies that have a old set of d/r laying around REALLY reasonable please let me know! im going to run eddyville later this year, and make a trip down to cfr with you guys.

I just got home from KC with a pocket full of new personal bests!!! First time out with the new converter & Bogarts, it was WELL worth the $!

Here is the best slip of the day...
60'=1.530
1/8=7.219 @93.90
1/4=11.393 @118.03 (Ran 11.393 twice!)

I had a 1.514 60' time, but spun on the 1-2 shift & it slowed me down to a 11.417.

In full street trim, right off the highway it ran 11.594 @116.76 with a 1.602 60'.

It was a cold & windy, but the track & the other cars were worth it!! Stay tuned for some vids & pics!

Nitrous will be on the car the next time I run it.

Nice times unstang. I was really looking forward to going to CFR on the 3rd, but my girlfriend was wanting to do something for her birthday thats on the 2nd that night. I tried telling her that a night at the track would be fun, but she didn't buy it haha. We'll see if i can talk her into it

Hey man, I tried with a 10 bolt. Well actually I tried 3 sets of motives and a set of richmonds I had a solid spacer instead of a crush sleave, i peened the carrier bearings, and set the backlash to about .03 or .04 and spec is .05 to .09. I had it set up right and tight. Didn't matter how it was setup, after about 8 passes it started making noise, and that was pulling a 2.00 60 foot time with drag radials. You my friend are getting close to the end, the only thing saving you is the automatic

Rodney- good luck with the ol' 10 bolt. Have to let me know when it lets go, not if, but when.

Some people just don't respect the time, effort, money, and passion we put into our cars. Only a real low life piece of sh@t would do something like that.

You've had some real bad luck lately hopefully it will turn around for you real soon.
