I am heading up to CFR on Saturday, May 3rd. Would like to finally get some cooler weather runs with the car.

Also, for those of you not going to Speed, Inc. the guys on SVTP are putting together a little lunch/cruise deal that day. It is primarily for the SVT cars in regards to initial parking, but open to anyone that wants to hang out and cruise.

Starting at Buffalo Wild Wings in West Des Moines and cruising from there out to Saylorville where a shelter has been rented. And just hang out from there.

Here are a couple of links for more information if you are interested:

Damn Scott, we need to quit hanging out with each other or something, our cars like phucking with us at the same time....I just got done with the rockers & I put the over flow tank back in, with most of the water drained out of it. We'll see what happens now.

thanks guys, it still has some flaws but thats what you get with a 12 year old car.

yeah Brett i had to clean it up some so it doesnt look like a complete peice of **** next to yours at LS prom lol.

Im thinking im going to take it on the 27th to the speedway to do a couple passes just to get an idea of what i have.

Also i dont know if anyone interested but i purchased a bunch of 4130 chromoly tubing to remake my lower control arms and to make my subframe connectors. ill be makeing 2 or 3 sets 2 for sure and was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a set of 2 point SFC's they'll be powder coated red, they're .095 chromoly so they'll be pretty light but really strong. Ill take some pictures when i get them together.

When the top end of my motor was put together, I wasn't there. The rocker bolts were torqued in, but the motor was not turned over & the bolts weren't retorqued. I had the driver's side come loose last year & never pulled the passenger side to check them/correct them. I don't plan on having to do it again!!!!

The good news is, none of the bolts or threads are messed up, so there shouldn't be any ill effects on anything....They got plenty of red locktite on them this time!

hey scott, was your security light on man when you had nothing??? If it was the vats was on. The wires that go to the inginition lock cyl. actually rotate with the tumbler every time you turn the key, so it eventually rubs through the wire and causes the vats to kick in and thinks your trying to steal the car. An easy way to bypass it would have been to read the resistance of the chip on your key, go to radio shack and get resistors to add up to within + or - 10 ohms of the chip value, then put them in the end of the vats plug, under the drivers side dash panel (under the steering column, Orange wire) ive done it to my TA, and hope to never have that problem again.

Pretty sure that is what happened to the Pumpkin...The same thing happened to my '98 Z...I couldn't even start to think about doing a McGyver repairs, I'm not that smart.

It was a busted wire on that lock cylinder. It's fixed now, just need to get it home sometime. I will have the wife drop me off tomorrow night to pick it up.

Do we want to plan another Rookie's gathering on a Saturday night again? That place seems to be the spot. I mean $2.50 tall boys and some decent food and great parking and a great spot its the best of all worlds IMO.
