I think i just bought a 99 sunfire gt oh yeah its a "GT" fast...lol anyways it has a knock, guy wants a $1,000 for it, Ill prolly give him 650-700 for it. I have a engine sitting at home for it we took out of my cousins car.

Yep soon ill have another black car, fully loaded with A moonroof, and 5spd oh hell yeah!

whatevers cheap and gets 30mpg im happy with.

But thankfully i have my camaro now so i dont have to worry about wasting anymoney on it like i did my last cavalier (first car)....It was just like barney...But it was all i could afford at 15.

At least the back window was. The side windows were down - as they should be on a beautiful day like today - so I couldn't tell on those.

Its red with 20's. I really love the truck but its just not practical to have right now. I'm planning on getting a new truck right after I gradutate in about 2 years (hopefully they'll have the 1/2 ton diesels out by then). It would just be great to get 30 mpg out of a nice DD instead of putting miles on my camaro to get good gas mileage. I have to drive about 1 1/2 hours everyday this summer for an internship so I think it would just be the smart thing to do because gas prices are just getting rediculous.

Has anybody heard anything good or bad about the Cobalt SS's (minus the gay *** spoiler that would come off immediately) I driven a couple and they do run pretty good for a 4 cyl. I think one would make a great DD

I have a buddy with one, it only has like 29k on it, it runs damn hard, and no issues really. Id get one if i could find one cheap enough, its just id rather pay for a car up front for a good gas mileage car and save the other money for modding my other car.

Just a little FYI for those with pick ups, License fees are going up..alot. Culver is only fining those with pickups to raise money for road construction..oh well. The colbolts are pretty good DD, perform well and have very few issues.

you can..it's called a C6 Corvette and it's more fun then any Cobalt...

Granted it costs as much as 2 Cobalts but hey, you only live once so you might as well have as much fun as possible while you can.

or

or you can buy one from another enthusiast....

But I do understand if you want something that is front wheel drive or four wheel drive. I do know a guy whose dad has a 2001 C5 and drives it year round in Colorado mountains with tire chains

I drove my 6-speed '93 Z28 year round when I lived in Colorado. And that was with all season tires on it. Then again, they don't get near the ice we do here. And the main roads are usually clear within a day or so of the snow ending.

I have also driven my '77 Camaro and '86 Z28's year round in Iowa winters. That being said, I won't do that again. My Crown Vic with dedicated winter tires goes anywhere I want any time I want...

I pull 20-21mpg with 4.56 gears and thats at 75mph in the TA
I pull about 28mpg in the ol' IROC. before the fuel leak. and I think Jacob might have squeezed a 32 or so out of his Iroc with a 350, heads, cam and a 6spd swap with 2.77 gears

I bet it was Eric. Did the car have an after market exhaust? Magnaflow possibly? If so its Eric. I don't believe he is a member on here but lives in Norwalk here.

Gas prices suck, no doubt, but I guess we just have to look at it as the cost of having fun and driving some of the badest cars to ever hit production
