Jason ide like to think i had a little bit to do with tyler going the performabuilt route. I have talked to them numerous times on line, almost daily for a while, and they seem to really stand behind there product. I decided on the TH400 route because I have been reading alot here latelly, and it doesnt seem they like to last very long, no matter what the level they are, even fully built when backed behind a heads/cam/spray car that really gets it done.... So figured ide build a th400, upgraded sprag, rmvb with brake Then when the car gets the jug I wont have to worry about a damn thing.
I figure ill do it in the garage here, since that way I dont have to have the car in someone else's garage for the weekend or whatever. Jason, you can lend a hand if you want, but doubt you will want to make that drive, and i dont want to have to take up your garage space brotha. But, it sure would be nice having someone with abit of experience to help out. Either way.

i went with performabuilt because locally a couple cars have run them without any issues, and rodney recommended them...
i also found that with the core exhange they are the cheapest/strongest for the money imo and after talking with Frank i have no doubt in my mind it was a good choice...
a 2 year no bullshit warranty is nice also!!!
and if your wondering why i went with the 4l60e its because i had to have an overdrive transmission because i pride myself on still having a reliable, good gas mileage, fast street car that i drive to the track with the air on and drive to work everyday...i also commute to iowa city from belle plaine from time to time to see my girlfriend and go to cedar rapids regularly to play on the streets...and it seems like with my goals (H/C/150 plate----high tens car) the tranny will still be sufficient...

Good deal, glad you are happy with the decision. I hope to not have to make that choice for a little bit...My stocker is doing good things. I would not ever go 3 speed in the SS, but I have a plan to have one behind an LS1 some time.
Oh yeah, Fed Ex stopped by today....Can't wait to put them on!

Obviously its whatever you like . But I'll never care enough about my 60' time to give up the fun of driving a manual on a nice twisty road.

Nice wheels Jason. I'm wishing I would have went that route if I knew these cheap summits were going to give me trouble. Think you are trying to save a buck or two going the cheap route but then kicks your *** in the long run. That mustang also sounds nasty!

Saw some of you guys down at Eddyville last night/this morning. Anyone else have traction issues? I have a few vids of the White car spinning to 330 mark even launching in 2nd Now only if I could have gotten the slicks mounted it might have been worth it.
