The potholes in ankeny are getting outta control too!! For having one of the highest property taxes in the state those streets should be paved of gold!!

Benji- I moved to Boone, and I take highway 30 from Boone to Ames all the time, and That road is TERRIBLE, it's not every 30 feet, its about every 15-20. EVERY expansion joint is lifted. It just tears up the plow truck.

i would be if the machine shop would hurry up and call me back, and if my damn rods would ship BEFORE april lol. and you guys are spot on about highway 30 going to ames. it doesnt start till you hit the straight by united community. you pray to god that your car doesnt fall apart once you start hitting them. sad thing is they "FIXED" the road right where all the bumps are!

I can agree with Hwy. 30 being terrible. I also blew out a brand new blizzak on my Saturn driving down Ankeny Blvd. from hitting a 12 in. diameter piece of concrete about a month ago.

I take hwy 17 quite a bit, and finally in Madrid they went and filled in about 100 potholes this past week or two. 17 is getting crappy just north of Madrid, its not as bad as 30, but its getting close, I'm afraid to even bring the Bike out this summer if some of these roads don't get fixed.

Thanks Fastenuf-
I still have it, Last year I didn't even put 350 miles on it, so I hate to see it stay parked. I really want it to go to another enthusiast, I had a guy look at it about 2 weeks ago, and I've had a crap load of emails on the car. Everyone shooting cash offers of 8k and 9k. I know if you search you can find ls1 4th gens for around 8-9, but your not going to get a 34k mile car that's in this shape for 8-9. I had a cash offer of 13k yesterday, but since spring is hopefully only a few weeks away, I am sticking with it a bit longer.
Once spring hits, I get to dodge potholes with the bike, O yeah!
Fastenuf- where in Boone, do you live, I'm off 1st street about a block and a half east of the hospital, Usually a lil' blue Swift, and a Grey Impala in the driveway.
Whatever84- If you are who I think you are, Lance has told me quite a bit about that car

Ya you'd better hold off for your 16k!! I've been looking around a lot and that is probably one of the better deals out there for 02 ws6 w/ that low of miles! Just tell them to check ebay and autotrader...they won't touch one for that kinda money w/ those mods and miles!
I'm actually living in Urbandale. But my parents live on north Tama and my little brother(benji) lives w/ his gf there.
I swear if i wasn't getting married i'd be in another F body asap! I really miss those cars.

Thanks for the kind words, with all the snow on the ground and trying to sell the car its been kind of disheartening. My plow truck is on its last legs (3 out of 8 body to frame bolts are still in it the rest of rusted out), so I've been sporting the Fiancee's 05 Impalla back and forth from Johnston to Boone everyday. I blew up the motor in the Monte last October, and the Iroc has a weird dieing and not wanting to restart issue I've been working with. So I really need something that's reliable. I've been pulling boats and stuff for work, and been doing more side jobs, so a Diesel truck is on the list of things to get currently.
Side note- went to Joker's in Ankeny last night, you are correct Ankeny's potholes suck.

anyone that drives on 30 notice that they "fixed" the road? they put up 2 "rough road" signs on the east bound side. i saw that and laughed because "rough road" is an understatement lol.
