I had that same problem and it was the MAF sensor. On the other hand my buddy had the same codes on his trailblazer and it was a stuck thermostat.

I hope he doesn't say much to me, I know last saturday they let me go but they were more focused on all the cars breaking and oiling down the track.

Decided to step up from a LT to a SS. Its a 2009 (last model year for these SS impalas)...I just had to have one. Just got it 2 weeks ago with 11k miles. The 303 HP makes for some hellacious torque steer!

Nice car Josh. I wouldn't mind owning one of those.

On another note, I think my car will be leaving me on Thursday. A guy in Arkansas wants to buy it. Will suck to see it go but I have more important things to spend money on right now and I need to pay some things off. I will get back into another LS based vehicle within the next 2 years.

Nice pImpala there Josh. I just said goodbye to my old '94 Bonnie and got an '07 Cobalt SS. Not as nice the pImpala, but it gets 32-35 going back and forth to work. It's a zippy little spud too.

Thanks guys.

Yea I'm in the same boat too...I actually have my TA for sale in the classifieds section too...I saw yours in there.

Joel - Yea those little SS cars are very peppy. The Impala doesnt get that good of MPG...twice the cylinders...and even with the AFM it still only gets around 18-19 city/hwy...I guess which isnt terrible considering my 3.9 in my 07 Impala was only getting 21 cit/hwy.

Josh I didn't realize your car had 128k on it. Would have never guessed that.

Do you guys think I will be taking a loss on my car if I sell it for $10,750? The guy offered me $10,000 but that wasn't enough. Damn it, I am going to miss that thing!

That's what I kind of figured. Sickens me that a 43k mile SS in good shape isn't worth crap now.

Joel- so you finally did it... you've been talking about it for a few years, but you finally got a cobalt. Nice

Josh P- Those are awesome cars. I remember the first time I drove one. Alot of fun, that tq steer is a blast.

I acquired a 01' LS1 and 6spd combo, so time for some engine swapping in an old G-body this winter. Good times.

Thank God I found one without the ricey wing. It's been a nice little car to drive around. I wish it rode a hair softer, but other than that I am very pleased with it. I'm glad I got one. Just wish the 4drs were more common. Factory stereo is pretty darn good and it's fun to have a stick to drive around again. The ricers in Ankeny seem to hate it. Had a handful rev at it.

You still in Boone?

Nice car Josh, are you looking to get another LS car or just looking to put the money elsewhere?

RedRocket, man its hard to believe that is what these cars are worth now. Good luck with the sale though!

99C5JA, Cobalts are nice DD cars. I've got a saturn redline with the same engine/trans setup, they are great motors and have nice low end torque when doing normal driving. You don't have to rev them high at all like a typical 4 cylinder. I average 29-30 mpg on every tank, just stay out of boost. I also hear you on the spoiler, my high rise came off the instant I got the thing home!

If I were you I would strongly suggest investing in a couple blizzaks for the front because they are terrible in the snow without them. I drove one winter on all seasons and it was terrible (non LSD), last winter I bought some blizzaks and it made a huge improvement. I've put 40K on my car (it has 75K now) with zero problems, good luck with it!

Thx..Looking to put the money elsehwere...

Unstang, did you figure out the problem with your formula? Have you had a chance to see if its missing on any cylinders? You may have a plugged converter(s). Causes misfires, lack of power, may set MAF or O2 codes. Seen a lot of them at work.

Josh, the codes haven't came back in about 400 miles. It seems to be running good, it hasn't done it lately. It hasn't ever recorded a misfire, just sputtered around 2-2500 rpms. The CE light hasn't came on, just had the codes stored. I'm confused!

For these codes, they have to fail 2 consecutive ignition cycles for the MIL to come on. Do you have a way to monitor your fuel trims at idle?
