Hey everyone clear lake /mason city noob saying hi.I'll b starting my ls1 conversion to my 1986 cutlass.. Going all computer I'm sick of fighting my card. Currently a built 355 stays next to my buddies Cadillac ctsv so its pretty quick. Doubt the ls1 will b as quick but I just wanna turn the key and go...
I don't think you'll be sorry about doing the swap. We are finishing an LS3 swap in a '83 Hurst Olds right now at the shop, motor looks at home in them.

So are u guys an actual shop or just average joes doing this. Either way I'm trying to find a list of parts and pieces I'm gonna need for this. Confused on motor mounts. I've heard to use adjustable ones and I've also heard of others. I would like to use my th350 cause I can't afford a t56 yet. I found a couple kits to make my torque converter work. Some say use a new flex plate some say just an adapter and I'm so confused. I would like to keep everything in stock location but I will need a new trams cross member to run dual exhaust. Right now my exhaust sounds great but one side is mashed up due to only one hump in cross member. Sorry for all the dumb questions but I like to have everything in order before I jump into a project. As long as I can drop it in and bolt it all down I'll b happy. The wiring harness and stuff can come later...thanks

Hello everyone from Iowa, very happy to have found this. Have found a lot of great info on here already, never knew WS6STORE was located in my hometown! I will keeping a close eye on this thread. Anyways does anyone have a suggestion on where to go for good quality fiberglass work? Busted the corner of my hood and it needs some TLC.

Cool to hear that there is an option for Saturday nights.
I've been talking to a bunch of guys about a Thursday night meet up at Twin Peaks. They have a patio & tons of parking. In other cities it draws a pretty large crowd, so I don't think they will mind if we start something up.
Also, dyno day at Karl Performance. Is anyone interested in tuning, or just a few dyno pulls to check everything out. I might be able to get the dyno operator to do a Saturday, but a Friday would be great too. If you want, PM me, if I get some interest, I'll start a list on this thread.

I put my new car on the dyno the other night after work….403/375, I'm happy for such a small number of changes that were done to the car.

Thank you!
No track times yet, but I want to get to Eddyville one of these weekends, then hit up CFR. I spent last week pulling and installing the suspension under the car. Next I need to get it back to the tuner to figure out some shifting issues, because WOT we're just hitting the rev limiter. Hoping the its just a timing thing with the shift points because the trans should be solid.
