Yeah I figure maybe someone can use it for a motorcycle helmet or if thier track is not NHRA sanctioned. It is a shame because it's like new.
I just bought a new one because I go to Joliet and GLD.

I think currently the minimum at NHRA tracks is SA2000.
I was in the same boat with an M95 helmet I've had for years ans was told I'd need to get a new helmet so I recently picked this SA2005 open face helmet up for $100 from thehelmetman.com.
