Default FS: Beautiful Black '02 M6 Z8 (6,500 miles)

I'm throwing this out here (as well onto other sites; including Autotrader, etc.) to see if there's any interest in an absolutely mint/perfect Onyx Black 2002 6-speed Z28 Camaro with only 6,500 miles on it?

I bought it brand-new back in the summer of '02 and it has obviously been just a nice weather car (and stored every single winter). It's fully-loaded with T-tops, leather, & chrome rims. The motor is completely stock and it has the following bolt-ons: Direct-Flo lid, Mass Air Flow Translator, 1 3/4" Kooks stainless steel Longtube Headers, no catalytic converters, & 3" H-pipe true dual set-up (Flowmaster 1-chambers) by Speed Inc. The car just dynoed at 346rwhp & 362rwtq this past spring on Speed's dynojet chassis. FYI, the car has never been to the dragstrip. Car needs absolutely NOTHING and runs perfectly!

Here's the thing though. I don't have to sell this (and won't) unless I get a serious buyer who's willing to give me what I want for it. I want $16,500 FIRM for it and will not negotiate. So, please don't waste my time with any type of offer below that. It's worth every penny, so the first sixteen-thousand five-hundred buys it before it goes away into storage for the winter. Otherwise, I'll just happily hold on to it.

Here's a link to some pics from earlier this summer. And don't even bother to ask me to take any of the interior because it literally looks like it has never even been sat in.

If you're truly interested, PM me and we'll talk. BTW, the car's in the Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg area of Northern IL.

Thanks,

Mike

BTW, here's the FS link to the car from www.mfba.org, which is a local F-body club in Northern IL that the car is known a little around. Check out some of the responses from guys/friends who actually have seen the car in person if that helps confirm its condition any.

Car looks great Mike!

You might as well just keep it though. In a few years, you'll look back and want another, but you'll have a hell of a time finding one like that again. That is, unless you're planning to move on to the new Camaro? I'm planning to get a 5th gen too, but I want to keep the 4th gen as well.

That's a toss up. It's hard to say after the new Z's come out?

Thanks Ryan. You're right, I'll have a heck of a time trying to find another 4th gen LS1 Z28 this nice (I mean, literally, it looks as if it's still brand-new). But that's why I'm hoping someone jumps on this price soon before I change my mind for good.

BTW, no plans for the 5th gen. Don't like it from what I've seen. But if I can somehow sell this one, I'll eventually pick up another old LT1 to play around with like I had a couple years back...

I'm putting the car away for good in about a month, so let me know if there is any interest.

Thank you Larry! But if I can't end up selling it, no doubt it will be back at your shop for something new next year.

I just did a kbb price check, it books at $14,800 private, 16,900 retail. Plus the money you have invested in mods, sounds like a deal.

OK, there's been some interest in the car, but nothing concrete or serious yet. I'll be moving out of my townhome on October 20th, so since I'll be losing a garage for it shortly there after. And I'm going to have no choice but to just put it away at a place I've kept it stored at for winters past once it has to leave my garage. Once I change the oil, that's it, I'm not taking it out again until spring.

So, if any of you are truly interested and have questions/want to see it, please let me know soon. If not, thanks for your interest anyway!

OK, I've been asking $16,500 firm, but will let it go for $16,000 straight up before I tuck it away in a couple weeks (but absolutely no lower). I'm moving into the city soon, so I'd ideally like to sell it before then and not have to deal with the hassle of getting it ready for winter storage. Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to wait until next spring and try again when there should be more interest...Which I don't mind doing either...

It's a very nice clean car, but keeping it until next summer won't make it worth more money. Each season that goes buy it's worth less. It's a hard car to sell. Good luck!
