IDK yet, my trans is up there and gets taken apart on Monday. We will see how much damage 5 years of abuse the D&D parts took. I will get it back in a week from today and put it in. Hopefully I can get in and out of there for under $1500.

 

You sound like me, I liked my 97' T/A while I had it, but as soon as I drove my first Vette some time ago; I had to have one and quit looking at Fbody's...and even sold the LS1RX7 for it. They (vette's) aren't for everyone though

I do want to go drive a new 2009 SS Camaro when they hit the showroom floors

On the Vettes, drive one with the Z51 package and one that does not have it... worlds difference at least with the C6's. The C5's I have driven all drove nice and tight.

I took my ex's dad for a spin in his C6 when he got it, non Z51 (pretty much a cruising car haha) but had the 3.42's and Corsca exhaust. I killed traction control (performance driving option) and hit it for a second and had no idea his car coul move like that but was scared to take it above like 4,500 RPM haha, also did not know what that button did.


EDIT: Doctor says we are here till at least the weekend, yaaaa for medical bills!

I have a 6.0 Iron short block pulled apart and one for a 5.3 and a set of heads.


A lot of dead beats live around here....... people call from craigslist and are like yeah man I want to come look at it a few hours I will call you when I am on my way, they never show, you call and leave a voice mail and call back again in an hour to find out they turned their phone off..........

Yes... I have been selling a lot of stuff latley hahaha.

Roller, no carpet, seats or carpet, Z-28 wheels that are kind of nasty and have roller tires on them. Passenger quarter needs replaced, door needs new hinge bushings and the GFX needs sanded and painted from the doors scraping them. Small hole in the floor, rest of the floor is rock solid. Car needs paint or at the very least the front bumper.

T-tops, power locks and windows, ROLLER, comes with a battery.

$1,200 in it but I know I paid to much. Make a respectable offer.

 

The national F-body event is being held at Oreilly on May 14-17 this year. I not sure what if any kind of swap meet they have there. I have never been to one yet but it looks good for this year

I went last time it was here, car show and racing. Thats it. Well.... some people have stuff in their trailer but no official swap meet.

 

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know I had my dads funeral today... Man it was the hardest thing to EVER deal with. I broke down so bad it wasn't even funny. I almost passed out twice and felt like I wanted to die. Please remember me in your prayers guys! I appreciate it alot.

I couldn't begin to understand the pain you are going through. But I do want you to know that there are lots of people you can talk to, here and other places, that are very willing to help you get through this time.

I know it has been said before, but if you need anything at all, even just someone to talk to, let us know.

I am workin on puttin my car back together. That is exciting. Hopefully I can get it back on the road by Monday.
