Indy People....check-in and say hi!

hell of a car. but i go and watch it anyway haha its entertaining. and pulling the nose up on the street hell ya hahaha Hey James, yea it was me the other night I actually went to school with him. The car is pretty strong it was about even all night long between us. I'll be out and about this weekend if its nice I'll hit ya up and actually pull in and talk to you guys lol.
Aight guys at the end of the month im going to try and set up a tune with chad. Now my car is on a sd tune and was told it was tuned for nitrous. i drive my car year round so you think it be better off getting it tuned for a maf, and not nitrous? I have a somewhat ported, and decreened maf at my house im going to throw on it, if ya'll think it be a good idea plz hit me up thxs alot.

Thxs guys ya i have a maf that im going to use. But a bill came up and im pretty pissed off about so ill be getting my tune just not as soon as i want gay!!! But deff before this winter haha
You need to have the timing added back to the tune if it really was tuned for nitrous, as they would have taken some of it out to avoid detonation. As far as the MAF I don't like to see any screens removed, it helps to keep the air flowing evenly over the wire. If you have seen it, it is not a standard screen it's a honeycomb looking one designed to even out the flow. If you want to make it flow better look at porting out the middle of it not the screens. Some get away with having no issues with the screen gone and some don't but I wouldn't risk it. Stay away from the SLP MAF as well since it has a resistor in it that tricks the PCM that makes it a pain in the *** to tune.
Advantage to the SD tune is your car will be more snappy with accelerating (since the fueling is almost instant) especially if it is a 6 speed. Downfall is the SD tune will not account for any compression loss due to wear and tear but it'll take a **** tone of miles for it to matter. Disadvantage is it's harder to get down so fueling is perfect. MAF will account for the compression loss but will be less snappy feeling but easier to tune.
^^ Wasn't calling you dumb by any means if thats how you took it. I used to think the same until I got HP Tuners and started studing up on it. If your looking into tuning google "redhardsupra" he is a member here and really knows his ****. He gets into the hard numbers though that are well beyond me at this point.
