the elk is actually more like a 5 coat black and 1 coat black "cherry" color. it's not BLACK, but isn't noticeable until you put it next to a black car. i'm just glad we talked him into a fuel injected motor. he is already wanting to build an lsx for it. that thing came a LONG way from what it was a year ago. it actually had the original engine/trans from 1972 in it, neither of which had been rebuilt.

well guy's made back to Louisvile a few mins ago. Hell I was in Indy since Thursday. Did race with James at Muncie Friday and had a few personal best!
11.69 with bolt on car which is fastest in country I might add
10.69 with the Jug with a few issues with tune as I only made 1 pass. This thing will go 11.50s + I need liteweight wheels which should get me around 11.30s or so.
James car runs good my friend!

And yeah I didn't even notice the black cherry. (oops)
And Yeah the fuel injection is always nice. Hell an lsx transplant would be VERY sweet!

I was not at the track. I stayed home with the little one last week. Took the week off from work. Congrats on the stock motor record! Benny's just been driving her. I think the tranny is coming out this winter and going back to Rodney. He's thinking about having the converter re-stalled also. A PI converter comes with one free re-stall. Think he's gonna take advantage of it.
