Benny's got a pretty touchy pinion. If you get it just a little out of whack...

Jeff (Sedanman), can you help me swap this into the IROC????

I may need to bang on the fenders a little.... I know you have the skills.

Engine is a russian "in line radial"-- 7 banks with 6 cyl each.
142 litre (8665 cui) supercharged.

Weighs around 3,000 pounds or so..... might need a pretty big engine hoist....

Let me know.

...are we talking "physical" head or "ego" head?

Wonder if that has a TH350 or a TH400. Nah, I'm guessing its an old 2-speed slushbox.

for starters 1:1 3rd gear, they are in fact heavier, and they do in fact rob more horsepower. yes, stock for stock they are capable of handling more power. a th350 swap for a 4th gen car is pretty straight forward, you really don't even need an aftermarket crossmember, just induce some southern engineering. for normal guys like me and you a built th350 would be fine. easily capable of going 8 seconds and would last a lifetime on a 9/10 second car.

96z, i wouldn't suggest a 3 speed anything for a real RACECAR, which you are trying to put this mythical th350 into. powerglide or go home.

Much like a TH400 why bother when it weights too much, won't fit easily and there is a perfectly acceptable alterantive LSX.

If I went glide it would slow my down with the new motor..... You can ask Rossler, this years Outlaw 10.5 champ, and a bunch of other fast door cars and see if they say glide or 400..... you might be in for a suprise....

Everyone is still missing my point. I said it does not weight as much as people think compared to a 350. Its like you are comparing a aluminum SBC head compared to a Iron BBC head....

People are acting like it eats an extra 100hp!
